Regular Season Round 10: Hitachi SRT - San-en NP 70-64

There was no surprise in Tokyo where 9th ranked San-en NP (3-7) was defeated by second ranked Hitachi SRT (7-3) 70-64 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hitachi SRT outrebounded San-en NP 38-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Justin Knox (206-89, college: UNC) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi SRT keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser San-en NP keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Hokkaido L.. Hitachi SRT will again meet at home San-en NP (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San-en NP will have a break next round.
