Regular Season Round 10: Gunma CT - Nagoya DD 101-92

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Nagoya DD (5-5) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Gunma CT (4-6) 101-92 on Saturday. Gunma CT made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-90, college: Miami, FL) scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma CT moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Osaka E. and Akita NH. Loser Nagoya DD keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Yokohama BC. Gunma CT will again meet at home Nagoya DD (#7) in the next round. Nagoya DD will have a break next round.
