Regular Season Round 10: Alvark Tokyo - Kyoto H. 102-80

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Kyoto H. (2-8) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Alvark Tokyo (7-3) 102-80 on Saturday. Alvark Tokyo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kyoto H.'s 36. They outrebounded Kyoto H. 33-16 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Alvark Tokyo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists during the contest. Five Alvark Tokyo players scored in double figures. Alvark Tokyo's coach Luka Pavicevic felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Justin Harper (208-89, college: Richmond) responded with 26 points and his fellow American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: SDJ Sports) scored 24 points. Alvark Tokyo keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Kyoto H. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Niigata A.. Alvark Tokyo will again meet at home Kyoto H. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kyoto H. will have a break next round.
