No shocking result in a game in Shanghai where ninth ranked Sharks (6-2) smashed 12th ranked Eagles (2-6) 121-88 on Wednesday. Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 48. Sharks forced 22 Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 59-31 including a 27-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. Guard Terry Li (190-0) scored 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Shiao Gao (225-0) responded with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks and Ruize Wang (197-95) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sharks have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Eagles at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Tianjin and Xinjiang FT. Sharks will meet Pioneers (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eagles will play against Aviators in Shenzhen and hope to secure a win.
