Regular Season Round 8: Guangsha L. - Liaoning FL 100-112

Another interesting game for Flying Leopards (6-1) which played in Hangzhou against one of their biggest challengers Guangsha Lions (5-2). Fifth ranked Flying Leopards had an easy win 112-100. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guangsha Lions. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Flying Leopards forced 20 Guangsha Lions turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Flying Leopards especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Ailun Guo (188-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 assists and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) who added 25 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) during the contest. International point guard Minghui Sun (187-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 assists and the former international Yanhao Zhao (194-97) scored 19 points. Four Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flying Leopards have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Guangdong ST and Zhejiang GB. Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Flying Leopards will play against bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Guangsha Lions will have a break next round.
