Regular Season Round 8: Kagawa FA - Aomori W. 81-78

Sixth-ranked Aomori W. (1-7) gave a tough game to first ranked Kagawa FA (6-2) in Takamatsu on Sunday. Kagawa FA managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) responded with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Hiroki Usui (193-96) scored 15 points. Kagawa FA maintains first position with 6-2 record, which they share with Sendai 89ers. Aomori W. at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Ehime OV. Kagawa FA is looking forward to face Saga B. (#5) on the road in the next round. Aomori W. will play against Koshigaya A. in Tokyo and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
