Regular Season Round 8: Tokyo Z - FE Nagoya 52-79
Date: October 24, 2021
Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Tokyo Z (0-8) was rolled over at home by first ranked FE Nagoya (7-1) 79-52 on Sunday. FE Nagoya dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American Luke Evans (203-91, college: CBU) chipped in 14 points. American-Haitian forward Marc-Eddy Norelia (203-93, college: FGCU, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FE Nagoya have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Loser Tokyo Z still closes the standings with eight games lost. FE Nagoya will meet Ehime OV (#7) in the next round where they are favorite.
