The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kagawa FA as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kagawa FA defeated 6th ranked Aomori W. in Takamatsu 88-83. 27 personal fouls committed by Aomori W. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) answered with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Hayate Komasawa (188-98) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Aomori W.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sendai 89ers and Kumamoto V. Aomori W. at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Ehime OV. Aomori W. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Kagawa FA will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Aomori W. at home.
