Regular Season Round 7: Chiba - Toyoda 97-79

Everything went according to plan when leader Chiba (5-0) defeated at home 12th ranked Toyoda (1-6) 97-79 on Saturday. Chiba forced 19 Toyoda turnovers. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Center CJ Gettys (213-94, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Jalen Billups (200-92, college: NKU, agency: BIG) added 21 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Toyoda in the defeat. Five Chiba and four Toyoda players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Chiba. They moved-up to third place. Toyoda lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Chiba will again meet at home Toyoda (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyoda will have a break next round.
