Regular Season Round 7: Nagoya DD - Shiga L-Stars 107-68

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Shiga L-Stars (5-2) against sixth ranked Nagoya DD (4-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Shiga L-Stars were crushed by Nagoya DD in Nagoya 107-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shiga L-Stars. They outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 50-34 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Shiga L-Stars' players. It was a great evening for American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 19 points and 10 rebounds. Four Nagoya DD players scored in double figures. At the losing side British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) responded with 27 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Sean OMara (208-95, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Nagoya DD. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Shiga L-Stars at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Nagoya DD will again meet at home higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round.
