No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Akita NH (4-3) defeated at home 8th ranked Gunma CT (2-5) 88-82 on Saturday. Akita NH made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) helped adding 30 points. Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akita NH maintains fifth place with 4-3 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Gunma CT lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Akita NH will again meet at home Gunma CT (#8) in the next round. Gunma CT will have a break next round.
