Regular Season Round 2: Anibal - Champville 49-83

An interesting game took place in Zahle where Anibal was upset on its own court by Champville 83-49 on Thursday. Champville dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Anibal's 22. Champville forced 20 Anibal turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Elias Rustom (197-87) who scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Patrick Bou Abboud (199-87) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Champville players scored in double figures. Ghassan Tacca produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and Christopher Maalouf added 14 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Champville will meet at home Homentmen in the next round where they are favorite. Anibal will play against Al Riyadi in Beirut and hope to win that game.
