Very expected game when bottom-ranked Tokyo Z (0-6) was defeated at home by third ranked Sendai 89ers (4-2) 82-64 on Monday. Sendai 89ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Shota Watanabe (168-98) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Haitian forward Marc-Eddy Norelia (203-93, college: FGCU, agency: Duran International) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Shinya Takagi (187-97) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds.
