Regular Season Round 6: Alvark Tokyo - Shinshu BW 86-74

Very expected game when 10th ranked Shinshu BW (2-4) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Alvark Tokyo (4-2) 86-74 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Daiki Tanaka (191-91) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Four Alvark Tokyo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU) who recorded 22 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Shinshu BW's coach Michael Katsuhisa let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Alvark Tokyo have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Shinshu BW lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Alvark Tokyo will meet league's leader Chiba Jets on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shinshu BW will play against Osaka E.
