Regular Season Round 5: Alvark Tokyo - Shinshu BW 65-58

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Alvark Tokyo and 8th ranked Shinshu BW had identical 2-2 record. This time Alvark Tokyo used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Nagano 65-58 on Saturday night. Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Daiki Tanaka (191-91) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and guard Yuta Okada (189-98) added 13 points respectively for Shinshu BW in the defeat. Shinshu BW's coach Michael Katsuhisa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alvark Tokyo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sea Horses M. and Akita NH. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 8 other teams. Alvark Tokyo will again meet at home Shinshu BW (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Shinshu BW will have a break next round.
