Regular Season Round 5: Ryukyu GK - Kawasaki BT 105-86

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Ryukyu GK (4-2) crushed 4th placed Kawasaki BT (4-2) in Okinawa 105-86 on Friday. Ryukyu GK outrebounded Kawasaki BT 38-19 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis) nailed 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) accounted for 21 points and 9 rebounds. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) came up with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Georgian Matt Janning (195-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Network Sports International) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Kawasaki BT in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Ryukyu GK went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with defeated Kawasaki BT. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
