Regular Season Round 4: Gunma CT - Chiba Jets 81-97

Another exciting game was between third ranked Chiba Jets and 6th ranked Gunma CT where Chiba Jets (3-1) beat Gunma CT (2-2) on the road with 16-point difference 97-81. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Chiba Jets players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) contributed with 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-90, college: Miami, FL) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 7 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Gunma CT. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chiba Jets have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams. Newly promoted Gunma CT dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams. Chiba Jets will play against league's leader Akita NH at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gunma CT will play against Sea Horses M. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
