Regular Season Round 4: Kyoto H. - Osaka E. 74-75

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Osaka E. (2-2) edged on the road one of their biggest challengers Kyoto H. (2-2) 75-74 on Sunday. They outrebounded Kyoto H. 42-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard DJ Newbill (193-92, college: Penn St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-89, college: USAO, agency: BIG) who added 15 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Justin Harper (208-89, college: Richmond) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Osaka E. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 8 other teams including defeated Kyoto H. Osaka E. will meet at home higher ranked Shimane SM (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kyoto H. will play against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
