Regular Season Round 3: Aomori W. - Nishinomiya S. 86-95

An interesting game where Nishinomiya S. (#7) beat host Aomori W. (#5) 95-86 on Saturday evening. Nishinomiya S. made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Nishinomiya S. had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Nishinomiya S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Aomori W.'s players. It was a great evening for American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import Shaquille Hines (203-93, college: UTRGV) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S.'s coach Mathias Fischer used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Hayate Komasawa (188-98) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Nishinomiya S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aomori W. will play again against Nishinomiya S. (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
