Regular Season Round 3: Shiga L-Stars - Ibaraki R. 93-88

No shocking result in a game when Shiga L-Stars (2-1) won against at home Ibaraki R. (0-3) 93-88 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Shiga L-Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ibaraki R.'s 38 and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. American forward Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Ibaraki R. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Shiga L-Stars will again meet at home Ibaraki R. (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ibaraki R. will have a break next round.
