Regular Season Round 2: Hitachi SRT - Nagoya DD 93-88

Everything went according to plan when Hitachi SRT defeated Nagoya DD in Tokyo 93-88 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hitachi SRT made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. American forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) notched 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. Four Hitachi SRT players scored in double figures. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Nagoya DD. His fellow American import power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) added 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the guests. Hitachi SRT will meet at home Akita NH in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nagoya DD will play against Hiroshima D. and hope to win that game.
