Regular Season Round 5: TNT Ka Tropa - Meralco Bolts 91-76

Second defeat of league's leader Meralco Bolts (5-2) against leader TNT Ka Tropa (5-0) 91-76 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Meralco Bolts. TNT Ka Tropa forced 22 Meralco Bolts turnovers. It was a good game for naturalized American guard Michael Williams (188-91, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory with 27 points. Roger Ray Pogoy (189-92) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Reynel Hugnatan (193-78) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Nard Pinto (180-90) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Meralco Bolts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TNT Ka Tropa have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Meralco Bolts at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by TNT Ka Tropa. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
