Regular Season Round 4: NLEX RW - Alaska Aces 84-74

There was no surprise in Makati City where 8th ranked Alaska Aces (2-4) were defeated by sixth ranked NLEX RW (3-2) 84-74 on Thursday. NLEX RW dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alaska Aces' 30 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Kevin Alas (183-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and JR Quinahan (198-84) who added 18 points during the contest. Four NLEX RW players scored in double figures. Guard Maverick Ahanmisi (188-91, college: Minnesota) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American guard Michael Digregorio (185-90, college: McKendree) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. NLEX RW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with SM Beermen. Loser Alaska Aces keep the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Phoenix. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
