Regular Season Round 3: Phoenix - TNT Ka Tropa 80-84

Very expected game in Quezon where 10th ranked Phoenix (1-4) was defeated by leader TNT Ka Tropa (3-0) 84-80 on Sunday. TNT Ka Tropa forced 21 Phoenix turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Jayson Castro William (180-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Jeth Troy Rosario (201-92) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side forward Vic Manuel (193-87) responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Canadian guard Matthew Wright (193-91, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Phoenix players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TNT Ka Tropa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Phoenix at the other side keeps the tenth position with four games lost. TNT Ka Tropa are looking forward to face Blackwater Elite (#11) in Caloocan City in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Phoenix will play at home against Terrafirma Dyip and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
