Regular Season Round 2: Ho Chi Minh CW - Can Tho CF 88-87

Rather expected game when Can Tho CF was edged on the road by Hochiminh CW 88-87 on Monday. Hochiminh CW forced 19 Can Tho CF turnovers. American guard Jeremy Smith (190-91, college: Nicholls St.) notched a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and guard Vinh Nguyen Quang (180-95) supported him with 26 points and 5 assists. Hochiminh CW's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Even a double-double of 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Jared Sam (207-95, college: Southern, agency: DC Sports) did not help to save the game for Can Tho CF. His fellow American import guard Jarvis Summers (190-93, college: Ole Miss, agency: Haylett Sports) added 25 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Four Can Tho CF players scored in double figures. Hochiminh CW will meet Hanoi B. on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Can Tho CF will play against Thang Long W. and hope to win that game.
