Regular Season Round 19: Hoops - Atlas 65-72

The game in Beirut was quite interesting. Fourth ranked Atlas (8-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Hoops (7-6). Atlas managed to secure a 7-point victory 72-65 on Monday. Atlas outrebounded Hoops 44-30 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Hoops helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Joseph Zaloum (180-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. Hicham El Helou contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized French guard Gabriel Salibi (203, college: Northeastern St., agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and international Habib Abdallah added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hoops. Atlas moved-up to second place, which they share with Champville. Hoops at the other side keep the sixth position with six games lost.
