Date: May 20, 2021
Very expected game when 9th ranked Al-Tadamoun (7-12) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Nift Al-Basra (13-5) 82-58. American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: MWSU) nailed 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and international center Ali Hameed (208-84) accounted for 11 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks. Bolds is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Hussein Al-Murshedi came up with 16 points and Sadeq Almayali added 12 points respectively for Al-Tadamoun in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Nift Al-Basra. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al Kahraba. Al-Tadamoun at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Al-Khtot. Nift Al-Basra will play against Ghaz Al-Shamal (#10) in Kirku in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Al-Tadamoun will have a break next round.
