The game in Gifu was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Tokyo EX (24-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Gifu (12-22). Tokyo EX managed to secure a 6-point victory 100-94. Tokyo EX dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Gifu's 44. They outrebounded Gifu 43-31 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Maltese center Samuel Deguara (225-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Tokyo EX's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) replied with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Kentaro Yoshida (173-95) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Gifu. Five Tokyo EX and four Gifu players scored in double figures. Tokyo EX maintains third position with 24-8 record having 2 victories less than leader Okayama, which they share with Shizuoka. Gifu lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 22 games lost.
