The game between closely ranked teams ended with Taiyuan Textile's (6-3) loss to Cathay Life (9-0) 60-79 on Saturday. Cathay Life looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Yu-Ting Lin (179-94) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Yu-Chun Chen (176-87) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-98) who recorded 14 points and 4 assists and forward Pei-Zhen Luo (175-98) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cathay Life will face Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taiyuan Textile will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
