An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kanagawa. Second ranked Toshiba Thunders faced 4th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers. Host Toshiba Thunders (42-16) smashed guests from Tokyo (38-20) 110-88. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hitachi Sunrockers. Toshiba Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hitachi Sunrockers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-89) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) scored 18 points. Five Toshiba Thunders and four Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 42-16 record having just seven point less than leader Tochigi B. Loser Hitachi Sunrockers dropped to the fifth place with 20 games lost.
