There was no surprise when 7th ranked Kyoto H. (20-35) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Shimane Magic (26-32) 103-88. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kyoto H.'s 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Kyoto H.'s players. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by forward Perrin Buford (198-94, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists and DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) supported him with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Shimane Magic's coach Yukinori Suzuki allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Rayvonte Rice (193-92, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Kyoto H..
