The game between Top Four teams took place in Kanagawa. Second ranked host Toshiba Thunders (42-16) smashed 4th placed Hitachi Sunrockers (38-20) 108-88. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hitachi Sunrockers. Toshiba Thunders dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Sunrockers' 34. Toshiba Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). The former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-91) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Five Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Toshiba Thunders. Defending champion maintains second place with 42-16 record having just eight point less than leader Tochigi B. Loser Hitachi Sunrockers keep the fourth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Toyama G.. Toshiba Thunders will again meet at home Hitachi Sunrockers (#4) in the next round. Hitachi Sunrockers will have a break next round.
