Regular Season Round 59: Shimane SM - Kyoto H. 89-69

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Shimane Magic (25-32) smashed at home 7th ranked Kyoto H. (20-34) 89-69 on Saturday. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Kyoto H.'s players. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for forward Perrin Buford (198-94, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) helped adding 25 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Guard Rayvonte Rice (193-92, college: Illinois) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Shimane Magic. They maintain fifth place with 25-32 record. Loser Kyoto H. keeps the seventh position with 34 games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Kyoto H. (#7) at home in the next round.
