Regular Season Round 58: Chiba J. - Yokohama BC 70-63

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Yokohama BC (16-39) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Chiba J. (37-14) 70-63. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-91, college: Ole Miss) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chiba J. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 37-14 record. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the eighth place with 39 games lost. Chiba J. will play against Toyota Alvark (#6) in Tokyo in the next round. Yokohama BC will play at home against Niigata A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
