Regular Season Round 55: Shiga L-Stars - Nagoya DD 72-92

The game in Shiga supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Diamond Dolphins (30-23) played at the court of 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (20-34). Diamond Dolphins did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 92-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shiga L-Stars. Diamond Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-95) helped adding 17 points and 7 assists. Four Diamond Dolphins players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) responded with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Diamond Dolphins moved-up to second place. Shiga L-Stars at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 34 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will play against Shinshu BW (#8) in Nagano in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Shiga L-Stars will play on the road against Dragonflies in Hiroshima and hope to get back on the winning track.
