Regular Season Round 54: Shiga L-Stars - Nagoya DD 83-80

Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Seventh ranked Shiga L-Stars (20-33) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked Diamond Dolphins (29-23) 83-80 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for American guard Jonathan Octeus (193-91, college: Purdue) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-95) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Diamond Dolphins. Four Diamond Dolphins players scored in double figures. Diamond Dolphins' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Kyoto H. Diamond Dolphins lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 23 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will again play against higher ranked Diamond Dolphins (#4) in Nagoya in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Diamond Dolphins will have a break next round.
