Regular Season Round 54: Hokkaido L. - Alvark T. 69-70

There was no surprise in Saporro where 10th ranked Hokkaido L. (14-39) was edged by sixth ranked Toyota Alvark (29-19) 70-69 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Greek DeShaun Thomas (201-91, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Hayato Yamaguchi (194-98) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Toyota Alvark maintains sixth position with 29-19 record. Hokkaido L. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 39 games lost. Toyota Alvark will have a break next round. Hokkaido L. will play again at home against Toyota Alvark (#6) and hope to win that game.
