The most exciting game of round 55 in the CBA took place in Hangzhou. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Guangsha Lions (30-22) to fifteenth ranked Loongs (19-33) 102-100 on Monday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guangsha Lions. Loongs made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American forward Eric Moreland (208-91, college: Oregon St.) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Center ZhaoBao Ge (213-92) chipped in 21 points. The former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds and point guard Minghui Sun (187-96) added 24 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Loongs maintains fifteenth place with 19-33 record. Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 22 games lost.
