We should mention about the upset which took place in Jinan, where higher ranked Heroes (29-21) lost at home to eleventh ranked Jilin Tigers (27-23) 102-108. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Heroes. Jilin Tigers made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 9 assists and center Ang Lee (208-90) supported him with 14 points. Even 28 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) by American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: NM State) did not help to save the game for Heroes. The former international center HanLin Tao (208-91) added 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. Five Heroes players scored in double figures. Heroes' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place. Heroes at the other side keep the fifth position with 21 games lost. Jilin Tigers' next round opponent will be higher ranked Eagles (#7) in Qingdao and it may be quite challenging game. Heroes will play on the road against Pioneers in Tianjin and hope to win that game.
