No shocking result in a game in Sichuan where eleventh ranked Blue Whales (26-24) defeated 15th ranked Loongs (17-32) 107-101 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Blue Whales looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Loongs were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Yuanyu Li (206-91) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Shuai Yuan (194-94) produced 28 points and the former international point guard Zhandong Zhou (182-90) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Loongs players scored in double figures. Loongs' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Blue Whales maintains eleventh position with 26-24 record. Loongs lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 32 games lost. Blue Whales will face higher ranked Ducks (#10) in Beijing in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
