Toyama G. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 92-74 on Friday. Toyama G. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a very good performance for American center Joshua Smith (208-92, college: Georgetown) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the former international power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Toyama G.. They maintain third place with 35-16 record having just four point less than leader Tochigi B. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the fifth position with 30 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
