Regular Season Round 16: Taiwan Beer - Pauian 57-76

Top ranked Taiwan Beer (27-2) recorded its second loss against fifth ranked Pauian on Sunday night. Pauian were rolled over by fifth ranked Pauian (6-24) 76-57. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Pauian looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Dan Qiao (200-92) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. The former international point guard Chia-Chun Wu (177-94) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Pauian players scored in double figures. The former international Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) produced 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Bo-Zang Su (200-89) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pauian maintains fifth position with 6-24 record. Defending champion Taiwan Beer still keeps top place with two games lost. Pauian are looking forward to face higher ranked Jutai Techn. (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Taiwan Beer will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
