Regular Season Round 9: Pelita Jaya - Louvre S. 100-45

The biggest surprise took place in Jakarta where host Pelita Jaya (7-1) crushed league's leader Louvre S. (7-3) 100-45 on Sunday evening. Pelita Jaya dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Louvre S.'s 24. Pelita Jaya forced 19 Louvre S. turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pelita Jaya looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Louvre S.'s players. The best player for the winners was international point guard Andakara Dhyaksa (173-92) who scored 18 points and 8 assists. The former international guard Agassi Goantara (189-99) chipped in 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Pelita Jaya players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Stefan Carsera (194-91) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and point guard Dio Saputra (179-98) added 16 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pelita Jaya have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Louvre S. at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Prawira. They were replaced at the leadership position by Satria Muda. Louvre S. will play next round against strong Bima Perkasa trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Pelita Jaya will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Bali Utd. in Denpasar.
