Regular Season Round 20: Dreamers - Fubon Braves 106-110

Very significant was Fubon Braves' (#1, 17-5) victory against second-ranked Dreamers (10-12) 110-106. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dreamers. Fubon Braves players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Dreamers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 24 rebounds and 6 assists and Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) supported him with 19 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Even a triple-double of 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 10 assists by American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSUM) did not help to save the game for Dreamers. His fellow American import guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Fubon Braves. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves (17-5) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Dreamers at the other side keep the second place with 12 games lost. Fubon Braves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dreamers will play on the road against Lioneers in Hsinchu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
