Regular Season Round 19: Pilots - Fubon Braves 93-109

An interesting game for Fubon Braves (16-5) which played against their biggest opponent Pilots (9-11). First ranked Fubon Braves had an easy win 109-93. Fubon Braves forced 25 Pilots turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Fubon Braves brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Joseph Lin (185-92, college: Hamilton) helped adding 15 points and 6 assists. At the losing side American guard Jordan Chatman (196-93, college: Boston Coll., agency: Slash Sports) responded with 21 points and Chin-Yao Yao (187-90) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Fubon Braves and four Pilots players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fubon Braves have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-5 record. Pilots lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with 11 games lost. Fubon Braves will play against league's second-placed Dreamers in Changhua City in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pilots will play at home against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
