Regular Season Round 23: Karaganda - Bars 76-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Bars (20-3) on the court of third ranked Karaganda on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Karaganda 76-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bars. Karaganda dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Bars' 32. Guard Ilyas Shakir (188-0) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 5 rebounds. Center Muha Nikolay (212-99) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Power forward Maksim Nalagov (198-94) answered with 24 points and 6 rebounds and guard Artem Kozyrkin (185-98) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists in the effort for Bars. Bars' coach Sergei Moor rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Karaganda have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Karaganda maintains third place with 17-7 record having just two points less than leader Bars. Bars at the other side still keep top position with three games lost.
