Very significant was Bank of Taiwan's (#3, 11-17) victory against second-best Yulon Luxgen (18-11) 86-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. Bank of Taiwan players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Zak Irvin (198-94, college: Michigan) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. International center Zong-Rong Hsieh (200-95) accounted for 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Ba Ban (203-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) added 19 points respectively for Yulon Luxgen in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bank of Taiwan maintains third place with 11-17 record having sixteen points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the second position with 11 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play against Jutai Techn. (#4) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against Jutai Techn. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
