Regular Season Round 45: Hiroshima D. - Sea Horses M. 91-89

Important game to mention about took place in Hiroshima. Tenth ranked Dragonflies (8-37) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-best Aishin Sea Horses (30-16) 91-89 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Dragonflies shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!). Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) answered with 31 points and 5 assists and the other American import guard Kyle Collinsworth (198-91, college: BYU) added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Aishin Sea Horses. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Dragonflies maintains tenth place with 8-37 record. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side keep the second position with 16 games lost. They share it with Toyama G.. Dragonflies will play against higher ranked Shinshu BW (#7) in Nagano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aishin Sea Horses will play at home against Osaka E. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
