An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gunma. First ranked Gunma faced 3rd placed Koshigaya A.. Host Gunma (45-3) smashed guests from Tokyo (31-16) 100-68. Gunma players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Koshigaya A.'s players. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Koshigaya A.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 45-3 record. Koshigaya A. at the other side keeps the third position with 16 games lost. Gunma will play against Aomori W. (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Koshigaya A. will play against the league's second-placed Ibaraki R. (#2) in Mito and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
