No shocking result in a game when second ranked Yulon Luxgen (18-10) beat bottom-ranked Pauian (5-22) 69-58 on Saturday. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Rakeem Christmas (206-91, college: Syracuse) notched 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Ba Ban (203-97) supported him with 7 points and 9 rebounds. Yulon Luxgen's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds by center Dan Qiao (200-92) did not help to save the game for Pauian. Guard Jia-Kang Li (185-98) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Yulon Luxgen. Yulon Luxgen maintains second position with 18-10 record having five points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Pauian lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Yulon Luxgen will meet Bank of Taiwan (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
